I have always been interested in capturing life on film.

In the early 90’s I studied Radio & Television broadcasting. At that time I wanted to become a video editor.  I spent countless nights in an editing suite making sure that I took the time to present the moving images I worked with in an honest and pure form.  I did eventually work as an editor for various Canadian broadcasters. I built experience in Producing and Directing yet my favorite job was as a Location Scout. It was amazing.. my having the chance to tour the country looking for the unique and the unspoiled.

During that time I fell deeper in love with the art of telling stories through pictures. No narrative necessary!!

As a teenager I would sit on the subway and wonder …what's the background story with that person sitting across from me? Why were they beaming? Or, Why do they look like they can't go home?

There are unspoken clues written all over, some happy, sad, anxious even depressed. This world is one big beautifully designed ever-changing documentary!  There are pictures all around us and I love capturing that brief moment with my lens just before the story changes.
